Information about our shared hosting accounts

General Information

All of our shared accounts are hosted on UK servers made by SuperMicro. Disks are setup as fast RAID arrays, have plenty of RAM and use 64bit quad core Xeon processors.

For most clients, the standard shared hosting account is more than adequate for their needs. The details below mainly apply to new businesses that require hosting only. Disk space, bandwidth and any other limits can be modified to suit individual needs.

Hosting accounts are provided in accordance with our hosting terms and conditions.

Software, Features & Limits
  • Disk Space - 1GB
  • Monthly bandwidth allowance - 10GB
  • Apache 1.3.41 with reasonable allowable .htaccess modification to most things you'd need
  • PHP 5.2.17 (Shell execution functions are disabled)
  • MySQL 5.1.x - There is no limit on the number of databases you can setup and database size is limited to your disk space quota
  • FTP Access
  • Shell and SFTP access by request
  • Free shared certificate SSL - Dedicated SSL certificates carry an additional charge
  • Multiple domain names per website at no extra charge, so your .co.uk and .com both deliver the same website
  • Sendmail mail server
  • POP or IMAP access to your mail. Maximum of 100 email addresses per account
  • Email address aliases/redirects (Multi recipient or otherwise) - Unlimited
  • Autoresponders
  • Simple mailing lists
  • Webmail
  • Account Control Panel
  • Nightly backups for disaster recovery. Not user accessible
  • Frontpage extensions (On request)
