African Conservation Experience send individuals to conservation volunteering projects in Africa. We have been working with ACE for around 6 or 7 years and the current site is the most feature packed and dynamic to date.

We also manage the server platform the ACE website runs on due to it's high technical demands. The site is a completely custom application that integrates with the software we built to help ACE run their business and due to it's considerable traffic, we employed several layers of caching using a memcache back end.

The vast majority of the site is content managed and has a huge amount of features including a custom search engine using a PHP implementation of Lucene, tagging and tag clouds for all of the resources on the site including documents, images and video.
